Weston Cam Man was established in 2007 to give photos about Weston super Mare. After it's success of thousands of hits, it was widened to a larger scale called 'The Weston Cam Man Group' which incorporated a new site called 'South West Cam Man'. This widened the range of photographs which could be uploaded and also led the site to start adding information attached to the photographs to give the readers a brief knowledge of what the photos were showing. In 2013 the Weston Cam Man Group name was dropped and the site became known as 'Weston Cam Man' once again, but still including South West Cam Man and the Grand Pier photo page.
